Protoje, born Oje Ken Ollivierre in St Elizabeth, Jamaica, is a contemporary reggae singer and songwriter, considered a key figure in the reggae revival movement. What makes him notable is his blend of traditional Jamaican sounds with contemporary influences like hip-hop and jazz, along with socially conscious lyrics.
